Great news out of the Land Rover brand’s Mahwah, NJ headquarters: the automaker just completed its most successful July ever, increasing year-over-year (YOY) sales by 5% over July 2017. With more than 6,200 vehicles sold in July alone, including more than a few at our local Land Rover dealership, the brand’s appeal is trending straight up.
The Range Rover Sport, a luxury SUV known for non-stop thrills, led the July charge. This class-leading vehicle, known for its generous helpings of high-end comfort, exceptional handling, and bona fide off-road ability, sold upwards of 1,630 units in July 2018 – a 13% YOY increase over last July. Adding to this SUV’s huge appeal are its three engine choices, one of which is a fuel-frugal diesel power plant. And the standard engine, a 3.0L supercharged V6 capable of 340hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, is more impressive than many competitors’ top-line engine.
Another model that posted impressive July ’18 sales numbers is the all-new 2018 Range Rover Velar.
